About My Site:

Just a regular guy with a passion for History, Aviation and Modeling.

The way I see it there are two ways to enjoy the history of aviation –

  1. You can buy one or two full scale planes or –
  2. You can get into giant scale modeling and you can enjoy any plane you have the guts to fly from any era of aviation

Obviously you can tell I choose option B – and trust me by the time you get done buying all the gear, build a collection of aircraft and pay for monthly storage there is almost no price difference between the two.

Over the years I have crashed and burned twice as many aircraft than I currently own – now that’s more cash in crashed planes than the price of an average full size personal prop driven plane.

For me this hobby represents the opportunity to build these birds and during the build or re-engineering I get to do the research, study the archives, dig through the records and find the stories of the Designers, Pilots, Missions and the World Records set by the daring.

It’s my mission to find, build and fly the most difficult early aircraft – If its hard to fly, ugly to the masses, is difficult to transport and takes lots of time to assemble for flight then you are probably talking about an aircraft that I want to own, already have owned or currently own.

If your like me and you enjoy the hassles of all the difficult stuff such as flying wires, struts, retracts, servo reversers, sequencers, air valves and anything else prone to failure in big expensive RC Model Aircraft then you should enjoy this site.
